? My personal feelings related to jurors with mental illness are a question I would have to know. To what extent of mental illness are we talking about?
If per say they are minor depressed or bi-polar but are on medication that is effective there really should be no problem with them serving. On the other hand if they are severely manic depressive, severely bi-polar or schizophrenic or etc. then we may have a problem. My point is many people in America have symptoms of depression that can be classified as a mental disorder/ condition yet it is very common and normal whereas more severe symptoms are not common and are not normal. You get my point? It really depends on what level we are talking about when considering mental disorders. Just a thought as to where I stand on the topic.
